Family Service AssociationFamily Service Association has been awarded a contract from the Department of Children & Families (DCF) and the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) to provide a Family Resource Center for the Greater Fall River Community.The Family Resource Center is a community-based, culturally competent program that provides evidence-based parent education groups, information and referral, mentoring, educational support, and other opportunities for children and families. Family Resource Centers also provide services specific to Children Requiring Assistance (CRA) who are having serious problems at home and at school, including runaways, truants, and sexually exploited children. |

YouthBuild Fall RiverOld Colony YMCA YouthBuild Fall River is a comprehensive youth development program that allows young people between the ages of 16 and 24 who have not been successful in school or the workplace an opportunity to plot a new course for their lives. Students alternate weeks between an academic setting and a vocational one. They are working toward the attainment of their GED while learning vocational skills that will prepare them for future employment. The students will complete the construction of new single family “green-built” home that will be sold to a low income, first-time homeowner. |
